Sotomayor made a speech at Duke law school in 2005 saying that her own court of appeals, not the legislature, is where policy is made.
And in a 2004 speech, she said taking such judicial action, is part of the heroics of judges today. It may dwell in protecting our own turf and ensuring that it is we who interpret the law.
She would be a radical activist judge who even admits that she applies her own political agenda when deciding cases!
